The Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFCs) are special electric broad-gauge railway lines built exclusively for freight trains in India. Their main purpose is to improve the speed, efficiency, and capacity of freight transportation by separating freight traffic from passenger traffic. The project is managed by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL).
